Structure and organization of the Austrian Boxing Federation with its individual state associations.
The Austrian Boxing Federation (ÖBV) is the umbrella organization for boxing in Austria and is divided into nine state associations. These regional associations are responsible for the development and promotion of boxing in their respective provinces and serve as an important link between individual clubs and the umbrella organization.
The state associations organize regional competitions, state championships, and support local clubs in training coaches, referees, and athletes. They are important points of contact for all athletes as well as for anyone interested in starting boxing.
The ÖBV unites all nine state associations under one roof and coordinates cross-regional activities in Austrian boxing. A clear organizational structure ensures efficient cooperation at all levels and promotes boxing throughout Austria.
Local clubs form the basis of the sport, where boxers train under ÖBV-certified coaches and prepare for competitions.
The state associations organize regional championships, hold ABC tournaments, also host the Austrian Championships, and act as a link between the clubs and the umbrella organization.
As the umbrella organization, the ÖBV represents Austrian boxing both nationally and internationally.
